Yes, well unfortunately your plea is falling on deaf ears. This is only a community forum with no connection

to the games developers. You would do better to address your complaints directly to Forza support

(wherever that is ;) ? ).

There are threads relating to this game almost on a daily basis, so it does look like the game is a bit of a train wreck,

but that's just an anecdotal observation. I don't have the game so can't comment accurately on how well,

or poorly it's optimised, but it is a MS release and they may have rushed it, as I believe it was supposed to be

their DX12 poster boy ( I've been avoiding the MS Store, but may download the demo to better understand

the issues later) .

- As a side point, not necessarily relating to CTD. Using all low settings can shift processing away from the

gpu to the cpu, which can affect frame rates.

Better to ramp up the games settings so the gpu has 99-100% use (EDIT: 99% is safer. 100% has been known

to cause a dread TDR error), and lower settings as required if there is lag.

You should be able to run the game close to max settings, and 50fps with a lot of modern games

is still quite acceptable. Blur when panning may be more pronounced with lower frame rates, but this should

not be an issue with a driving game.

Some games are cpu intensive (particularly poorly optimised ones ). Most are gpu reliant, but monitor cpu

use as well. If the game is also pushing the cpu over 90% you may need to dial back some

settings. AA is always a good start.

More general considerations....

- PhysX has been known to cause issues on a number of games. eg- Bats-AC is prone to crashing when

PhysX is set to high if you are using the Auto or graphics processor in Nvidia settings. However if PhysX is

set to cpu the game is not likely to crash ( but there is a big it on fps ). This is an uncommon example, which

Horizon

may be a result of WB trying to make physics work better with AMD cards. Most games are prone to lagging

if you use cpu for PhysX , eg- Bats-AA.

- Similar can happen with other settings, so try lowering just one setting at a time to see if this game has

an issue with a particular setting. eg- Saints Row The Third is affected by its lighting setting more than any

of the other settings.

- Being an old fashion control freak, I don't install the Geforce 'Experience' either. It has been known to cause problems in the past as well. Similarly, don't install the Nvidia HD audio or 3D Vision drivers if you don't use them.

[ EDIT: Had a look around - It looks like this game was rushed. They had to release a patch ( oct '16) to

'optimise' the game for four cores... Huh ?

An earlier patch made stuttering worse, and one in Jan '17 corrupted saves ... Nice one MS !
- Nah! Changed my mind. I won't be downloading the demo any time soon .... ]
